This is early, and that is the point. The communities, professionals, businesses and funders who step in now help shape how Purpose Crew works in practice and where it takes root first. Find the door that fits you and register your interest.
Each role comes with a short kit that explains exactly what it involves. Register your interest and we will send you the one that fits, and talk it through with you personally.
A chapter lives inside a trusted local home, a city mission, a marae-based service, a community trust. The host holds the programme, and we provide the model, the tools and the support, gifted free. This is the first and most important role.
The one person who holds the first pilot together and could eventually own it. An experienced community worker who is comfortable with both people and paperwork. The role is funded before it is offered.
If your work is people, social work, peer support, occupational therapy, addiction or community mental health, you could steward a crew. A supported, paid role, about eight hours a week, doing strengths-based work many are trained for and rarely get to do.
A paid lived-experience advisor, someone who has been through homelessness, sits with the chapter and keeps the design true to the people it serves. A few hours a month, genuinely listened to.
A community garden, a beach-care group, an op-shop, a parks team. Offer one supervised session a month, with our facilitator present throughout, and give a crew something true to point at.
A cinema, a pool, a barber, a bowling alley. Hold a set number of off-peak places a month for a supervised, pre-booked group. This is the part participants remember, and you open a door otherwise out of reach.
A pilot needs backing to stand up and prove the model. Every local dollar stays local: the shared systems are funded separately, and there is no founder salary in chapter funds.
Time, trade skills, transport, a venue, an hour of mentoring. Founding crews are built on offers like these. Police vetting and a short induction, nothing more.
A reminder that governs all of this: every door above is for organisations, professionals, businesses, funders and supporters. Places on a crew are arranged locally, through the host organisation, once a chapter forms, never offered directly through this site.
